POCSO Awareness Session Conducted at Government School, Bakarpur on World Population Day
In alignment with the theme of World Population Day, Hartek Foundation organised a one- day awareness session on POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) at Government Senior Secondary School, Bakarpur. The initiative aimed to promote body safety, consent, boundaries, and protection from sexual abuse among adolescents. The session was facilitated by Ms. Manjula Sularia, a renowned expert in child safety and gender sensitization.
International Youth Day Celebrated with Student Police Cadets in Mohali
Hartek Foundation, in collaboration with the Community Affairs Division of Punjab Police, celebrated International Youth Day with Student Police Cadets at Lawrence Public School, Mohali. A painting competition for classes 8th and 9th on “Innovation with Imagination” showcased vibrant creativity. Dignitaries inspired students with messages on determination, originality, and innovation. Winners were awarded, and the event concluded with students feeling motivated to shape a brighter future through hard work and imagination.
Environmental Health Strengthened at Bakarpur School through Water Infrastructure and Plantation
Hartek Foundation observed World Environment Health Day 2025 through water tanks installation and tree plantation at the Bakarpur village School of Eminence. The improved infrastructure shall reliable supply of clean water and support long term environmental sustainability. Further, In collaboration with the Green Planet Society, the initiative featured a tree plantation drive and an awareness session, where Ms. Sudesh Mittal motivated students to plant trees, reduce single-use plastics, and nurture seedlings responsibly. Through these activities, the Hartek Foundation aims to instill environmental responsibility, strengthen local biodiversity, and contribute to a sustainable ecosystem.
Menstrual Health and Personal Hygiene Awareness Session Conducted for Adolescents
Hartek Foundation conducted an awareness session on Menstrual Health & Hygiene for girls and Personal Hygiene for boys at Bakarpur Village, Punjab. The session was conducted in collaboration with the Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Mohali Branch, aimed to promote awareness, understanding, and open dialogue among adolescents on essential aspects of physical well-being, breaking taboos around menstruation, and encouraging healthy personal hygiene practices among both genders at School of Eminence,Bakarpur Village, SAS Nagar, Punjab.
Student Police Cadets Trained in First Aid and Disaster Response
Hartek Foundation organized a First Aid and Disaster Management Training for Student Police Cadet youth at Government High School in Punjab. In collaboration with the Community Affairs Division, Punjab Police and the Red Cross Society, Mohali, this comprehensive training was organised at Government High School, Nagal Salempur, SAS Nagar (Mohali). The training focused on life-saving first aid techniques, including how to respond to medical emergencies, manage bleeding and fractures, perform CPR, and ensure safety during accidents or disasters. Participants actively engaged in hands-on practical sessions, gaining valuable skills to act effectively in real-life emergencies.
Drawing Competition Promotes Drug-Free Future Among Students on Independence Day
In collaboration with Bakarpur school and DDRC, we conducted a drawing competion for classes 8th-10th on the theme of “Freedom from Drug addiction” to celeberate Independence day. Top 3 drawings from all classes were awarded with gifts.

POCSO Awareness Session Conducted at Bakarpur School with Punjab Police
In collaboration with the Punjab Police, an awareness session on POCSO was conducted at Bakarpur School. The session was led by Range Coordinator CAD Punjab Police, Ms. Purnima Bhardwaj, along with Ms. Yadwinder Kaur. Ms. Sunita, the Principal of Bakarpur School, and other staff members were also present during the training.

Prescription Eyeglasses Distributed Across 16 Government Schools in Mohali Block
In Collaboration with Vision Spring, we conducted eye check up in government schools of Mohali block in Feb 2023. The prescription glasses were received and distributed in April to all the 16 schools.
