Basic Computer Training Program Launched for Rehabilitation Patients under Hartek Skill Lab
Hartek Foundation, the CSR arm of Hartek Group, launched the third and final phase of its statewide ‘Mainstreaming of Women in Punjab Police’ programme, led by Special DGP Gurpreet Kaur Deo in partnership with J-PAL South Asia. Chief Guest DGP Gaurav Yadav presided over the launch, attended by Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Kaur, Retd IPS officers Meeran Chadha Borwankar and RC Singh, and National Editor (North) Manraj Grewal, along with senior police officials. Launched in December 2025, the year-long initiative is training 1,500–2,000 personnel across 384 police stations in gender-responsive, victim-centric policing, with a focus on women, children and vulnerable communities.
A.D.A.P.T Fellowship launches in Mohali
Hartek Foundation officially launched the A.D.A.P.T. (Applied Data and Policy Transformation) Fellowship in Mohali in partnership with the District Administration. The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Komal Mittal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mohali, marking the introduction of a structured fellowship that embeds young professionals within the administration to leverage data, research, and policy analysis for evidence-based governance. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional capacity by enabling data informed planning, implementation, and monitoring of public programmes.
Gender sensitization training round II
Hartek Foundation, in collaboration with CAD Punjab Police and J-PAL South Asia, launched the statewide rollout of the Round II Gender Sensitization Training. District Master Trainers are leading sessions across all 28 districts of Punjab to strengthen the capacity of over 2,000 police officials. These interactive sessions focus on gender sensitization, leadership, life skills, and community-responsive policing. The statewide rollout ensures that gender-responsive practices are institutionalized across the Punjab Police. By building the capacity of personnel at the district level, the initiative promotes inclusive policing, strengthens public trust, and enhances the ability of law enforcement agencies to respond effectively and sensitively to gender-related issues.
REFRESHER TRAINING - MAINSTREAMING OF PPMMS
A two-day Refresher Training Programme was conducted at the Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur, to strengthen the capacity of senior police officers and District Master Trainers in delivering gender sensitization training. The programme was inaugurated by DGP Gurpreet Kaur Deo, IPS (Special DGP, CAD Punjab Police), and Ms. Harkirat Kaur, CEO, Hartek Foundation. The Master Trainers received intensive instruction on gender sensitization, pedagogy, leadership, and life skills to enhance their facilitation skills. Following the programme, these Master Trainers will lead district-level sessions, ultimately reaching over 2,000 police officials across Punjab.
Mainstreaming of Women Police Focused group discussion
In collaboration with the Community Affairs Division of the Punjab Police and J-PAL, we organized a Gender-Responsive Policing initiative featuring intensive Focus Group Discussions. The program engaged 80+ officials from 28 districts, fostering meaningful dialogue to drive institutional change and strengthen the commitment toward more inclusive, equitable policing that remains responsive to diverse community needs.
Mainstreaming of Women in Policing: State-wise Project Rollout
The Hartek Foundation successfully launched the second phase of programme Mainstreaming of Women Police, across 28 districts in Punjab, training over 2,000 police officials. The initiative focused on gender-responsive policing and a victim-centric approach, integrating legal frameworks and empathy into daily law enforcement. By strengthening these capacities at scale, the intervention has significantly advanced a more inclusive and effective policing system throughout the state.
Support for SOS Inmates
A compassionate support initiative was undertaken for SOS residents through the support of essential items, including T-shirts and sanitary pads. The effort focused on promoting hygiene, dignity, and overall well-being while ensuring access to basic necessities for vulnerable individuals and reinforcing a sense of care and community support. The initiative also aimed to create a safe and supportive environment where residents feel valued, cared for, and empowered in their daily lives.
Compassion in Action – Prabh Aasra Trust
A Langar Sewa (community meal) along with an educational movie screening was organized in Kurali to promote community bonding and collective well-being. The initiative brought residents together in a spirit of sharing and inclusivity, while the screening added a value-based learning experience. By combining nutrition with education, the program reinforced social harmony and encouraged meaningful community engagement.
ToT for Mainstreaming of Women Police
Hartek Foundation, in collaboration with Punjab Police, the Community Affairs Division (CAD), and J-PAL South Asia, initiated a Training of Trainers (ToT) program aimed at strengthening gender sensitisation efforts within the police force across Punjab.
Under this state-wide initiative, 140 Punjab Police officials were trained as Master Trainers through a structured cohort-based approach. The sessions were designed for male-only, female-only, and mixed groups to ensure inclusive participation, gender-sensitive learning, and collaborative engagement. These Master Trainers will further lead and deliver gender sensitisation trainings within their respective departments and groups, contributing towards a more inclusive, aware, and equitable policing environment across the state.
Assistive Support for Persons with Disabilities
Hartek Foundation, in collaboration with Narayan Seva Sansthan, facilitated the distribution of 50 artificial limbs to individuals with disabilities, helping restore mobility, independence, and confidence. This initiative aimed to empower beneficiaries to lead more self-reliant and dignified lives while promoting inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities within the community. By enabling greater freedom of movement and renewed hope, the initiative reaffirmed the commitment towards building a more compassionate, inclusive, and empowered society for all.
International Drug Abuse Day & Illicit Trafficking
A Nukkad Natak (street play) was organized in Mohali to raise awareness about drug abuse and illicit trafficking, promoting a support-based recovery approach and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices among youth. The initiative aimed to sensitize the community, especially young people, about the harmful effects of substance abuse while highlighting pathways to recovery and rehabilitation. The event was graced by the presence of DHP Gurpreet Kaur Deo, IPS, along with the CEO of Hartek Foundation, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts between civil society and law enforcement in addressing substance abuse at the grassroots level

Hartek Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab Police’s Traffic & Road Safety Wing to collaborate on promoting safer roads through gender-responsive approaches, data-driven interventions, and public awareness initiatives. Hartek Foundation signed an MoU with A.S. Rai, Special DGP (Traffic & Road Safety), Punjab Police, and the Punjab Road Safety and Traffic Research Centre for the launch of the SAAHAS Fellowship focused on gender-responsive road safety initiatives. The fellowship aims to promote safe, affordable, accessible, and sustainable transport systems for all, with a special emphasis on improving road safety for vulnerable road users, including women, children, and pedestrians. Hartek Foundation signed an MoU with Ashika Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, and the Indian Red Cross Society to launch the A.D.A.P.T. The fellowship aims to strengthen data-driven governance and enhance administrative decision-making through evidence-based policy support, research, and innovative solutions. MoU Signed with Family planning Association of India Mohali Branch
Hartek Foundation signed an MoU with Family Planning Association of India (FPAI) to conduct 30 health camps across villages in Punjab during 2026, aimed at improving access to quality healthcare services in rural communities.
The initiative focuses on preventive healthcare and early detection through comprehensive screenings for general health, gynaecological concerns, HPV, STIs, haemoglobin levels, and diabetes, along with consultations by qualified medical professionals. Through this collaboration, the program seeks to strengthen community health awareness, encourage timely medical intervention, and promote overall well-being among underserved populations

Hartek Foundation signed an MoU with Global Sikh to support the rehabilitation of flood-affected families in Gurdaspur district through power restoration initiatives and the installation of solar energy systems.
The collaboration aims to provide reliable, safe, and sustainable access to electricity for affected households while strengthening community resilience in disaster-impacted areas. By promoting clean energy solutions and restoring essential infrastructure, the initiative seeks to improve living conditions and support long-term recovery for vulnerable families.
Yuva Saanjh Review meeting
Hartek Foundation conducted the consultation meetings in Mohali to present separate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) drafts to the Community Affairs Division (CAD) and the ADGP Intelligence wing of Punjab Police. The consultations brought together representatives from SAS Nagar (Mohali), Rupnagar, Patiala Range, and Fatehgarh Sahib Range to discuss and strengthen institutional coordination and operational frameworks. Skill Development and Rehabilitation
Hartek Foundation, through the Hartek Skill Lab initiative and in partnership with NSD Computer Institute, launched a specialized Basic Computer Course and digital literacy program for rehabilitation patients. Educational Movie Screening & Langar Sewa at Prabh Aasra Trust
An Educational Movie Screening along with Langar Sewa was organized at Prabh Aasra Trust, Kurali, bringing together residents for a shared experience of nourishment and learning. The initiative combined communal meals with value-based educational content to encourage awareness, reflection, and social bonding. It strengthened community engagement while promoting compassion and collective well-being.
Saras Mela: Promoting Creativity and Inclusion through Art
At the Saras Mela, Hartek Foundation showcased handcrafted candles made by patients from the District De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), providing them with a platform to display their creativity, skills, and entrepreneurial potential. The initiative aimed to boost confidence, encourage rehabilitation through skill-building, and promote social inclusion by highlighting the abilities of recovering individuals. The proceeds generated from the sale of the candles were further contributed back to DDRC to support ongoing rehabilitation and livelihood initiatives for patients, creating a sustainable cycle of empowerment, recovery, and community support.
Hartek Skill Lab:- Empowering Recovery Through Skill Development
Under the Hartek Skill Lab initiative, Hartek Foundation organized employment generation and skill development activities for patients at the District De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC). The initiative included Envelope Making and Candle Making Workshops aimed at enhancing vocational skills, improving self-confidence, and promoting rehabilitation through hands-on learning. In collaboration with Deepakriti Institute of Creative Arts, patients created decorative handmade candles that were later showcased at the Saras Mela. Incentives were provided to encourage active participation, while the proceeds from candle sales were contributed towards future DDRC training and rehabilitation initiatives, supporting sustainable livelihood opportunities and long-term empowerment of patients.
Chabeel Sewa: Community Relief during Summer Heat
In the spirit of unity and optimism, Hartek Foundation proudly carried out Chabeel Sewa during the intense heat, honouring the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji. His sacrifice for the sanctity of Sikh scriptures is a powerful reminder of resilience and faith, and we commemorate this on Shaheedi Diwas.

Advancing Rural Development for Sustainable Communities (SDG 11)
To enhance public spaces and promote community well-being, Hartek Foundation inaugurated a Community Park in Village Bakarpur on World NGO Day. Designed to be safe, inclusive, and accessible for all age groups, the park features swings and open gym equipment to encourage physical fitness and outdoor recreation. Additionally, floodlights have been installed to ensure safety and extended usability beyond daylight hours. With this initiative, over 4,000 villagers now have access to a well-equipped recreational space, fostering a healthier lifestyle—especially among children and elderly residents. The park has also become a community hub, strengthening social ties and encouraging outdoor engagement. This development underscores Hartek Foundation’s commitment to rural infrastructure enhancement and sustainable community development, ensuring a better quality of life for residents.
Visits for Yuva Saanjh Counsellings
A series of field visits were conducted at various Yuva Saanjh centers, including Rupnagar, Khanna, and Ferozpur, to assess and understand the structure and functioning of Yuva Saanjh counseling services. The visits included interactions with officials and on-site observations at Saanjh Kendras and the SSP Office, with the objective of evaluating counseling practices, service delivery mechanisms, and opportunities for strengthening youth-focused support initiatives.

House Wiring & Fittings Training: Electrical
In collaboration with Hartek India, we conducted a three-week training program in house wiring and fittings, specially designed for the patients at the rehabilitation center. This hands-on training provided practical skills to help participants build a foundation for future employment opportunities in electrical work, contributing to their journey towards self-sufficiency and rehabilitation.
Dispensary Room Construction
Hartek Foundation have constructed a new room at the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Bakarpur, aimed at improving infrastructure and supporting better care for the community. This development directly impacts the lives of the villagers by increasing their access to essential healthcare services, reducing waiting times, and fostering a more comfortable environment for patients. Kite-Making Competition at DDRC
Hartek Foundation organize a kite-making competition at drug rehabilitation centre Sector 66 Mohali, for the patients. The efforts to support the mental and emotional wellbeing of individuals recovering from substance abuse. The competition was designed to provide a creative and therapeutic outlet for the patients, offering them an opportunity to express themselves through art.
Data Room Setup at Hartek Skill Lab

Winter Relief Support at Chandi Kusht Ashram, Sector 47, Chandigarh
Hartek Foundation has been deeply committed to making a positive impact on a community. One of our significant initiatives was aimed at providing essential winter clothing to the Chandi Kusht Ashram located at Sector 47 Chandigarh. We were able to extend our support to 50 families residing at the Ashram. Each families received warm showls and socks, ensuring that they are better equipped to face the extreme winter months.
Blanket Distribution

Solar Streetlight Installation
Hartek Foundation facilitated the installation of solar-powered streetlights at the Government Senior Secondary School, Bakarpur, to provide sustainable and reliable lighting for the school premises and surrounding areas. Anganwadi Centre (AWC) & Panchayat House Upgrades
Hartek Foundation undertook comprehensive renovation and infrastructure improvement work at the Anganwadi Centre and Panchayat House at Village Raipur SAS Nagar Mohali to create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming community spaces. The initiative included repair and repainting of both interior and exterior walls, enhancing the overall appearance and improving the environment for children, staff, and residents. Additionally, waterproofing work was carried out on the roofs of both facilities to prevent water leakage, protect the structures from weather-related damage, and improve the safety and durability of the buildings. These interventions have helped strengthen essential community infrastructure, ensuring hygienic, comfortable, and secure spaces for community meetings, services, and daily activities while reducing long-term maintenance needs
